Well, a blog would not be complete without full disclosure of failures as well as successes! So here I go:
This past Sunday was my D-day for filming. I had spent the week leading up to it letting actors know, trying to find costumes, finish up makeup designs, and decide on final hair schemes....
...Sunday rolled around and guess what mood Mississippi was in? That's right, the female kind.
In the end, the stormy nature of the day was just what the doctor ordered for myself and ALL my cast. I cancelled the shoot, and spent the day watching Sherlock and sleeping in my living room with two of my closest friends who I don't see all that often.
I wished my actors and crew a wonderful day off to rest and recuperate...I believe that's what happened!
So this week I learned, once again, how to let go of an idea and discover that the world has not ended because of it. Thank goodness. The weather is still very unhappy here in the South, so filming is postponed until further notice. In the meantime I'm working very hard on the initial stages of the soundtrack, and furiously typing up a more detailed shots list for filming.
Hoping you all have a lovely day and stay dry!!
